Making a Decision on a Manuscript

Based on your journal-specific workflow, once the required number of reviews have been received, a decision can be made. In this example workflow, an associate editor is tasked with making decisions.

When you click the link, the View Manuscripts page opens. As seen in the status column, this page lists all the manuscripts ready for your decision.

Note: To bypass the View Details page, click the numeral instead of the action () in the lists section of your dashboard.

Reviews section

This provides a quick summary of all submitted reviews.

Select a radio button and add decision comments (to the decision maker) as needed. Next, select from three buttons:

·         You must review the email before you can send the decision for approval.

·         The decision letter is sent along with your decision for final approval.
